PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Following the U.S. government’s release of a much-anticipated report on UFOs a year ago, many were astonished that it couldn’t explain 143 of the 144 sightings that were examined. Only one was determined to be a large deflating balloon.

“The limited amount of high-quality reporting on unidentified aerial phenomena hampers our ability to draw firm conclusions about the nature or intent of UAP,” a report summary said, with “UAP” and “unidentified aerial phenomena” replacing the more common “UFO/unidentified flying object” terminology.

What is a UFO? Simply put a UFO is nothing more than an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO). The object is flying in the atmosphere as either stationary or moving through the air and one does not know what it is.

Following the U.S. government's release of a much-anticipated report on UFOs a year ago, many were astonished that it couldn’t explain 143 of the 144 sightings that were examined. Only one was determined to be a large deflating balloon.
In 2015 a U.S. Navy aviator took what is known as the Gimbal photo of a UFO. Last year, a federal report said it couldn’t explain the image.

Locally, Phillip Davis, a Pasco County resident and photographer, has been documenting these UAPs or better known as UFOs, for the last few years.

“I began doing photography on a more serious level for purely personal enjoyment in 2019. I take scenic broad shots before and after sunrise, at sunset and after sundown, and stormy weather along with a few lakes. I own three drones over the course of my photo aerial experience and bought new each time with a better camera retiring the previous drone,” said Davis.

With experience flying commercial aircraft and as a previous flight instructor, Davis takes his work in the skies seriously.

“My latest drone is an Autel EVO II 8K with an XT701 camera. As a once active experienced Commercial pilot and Flight Instructor in fixed-wing aircraft, I take flight very seriously with all safety precautions before and during flight. My drone is registered with the FAA and I have taken the TRUST (rules/safety) exam,” said Davis.

The objects pictured below were captured by Phillip Davis. The Free Press had each of Davis’ photos independently verified as original and not altered in any way.

“I have seen images in the past after flight when I review them and process them to place in my digital frame for enjoyment. I have not been able to see these images clearly as I would like due to photographic software processing limitations. However, all of that has changed this July with newer technology “off the shelf” and the result has been stunning,” said Davis.

“When it comes to what we saw that is another question entirely,” said David. “However, it does exist because we have seen it with our own eyes or have taken a photo of it,” said Davis.

This piece today kicks off a series of UFO findings by Davis.
