PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – The Pasco Board of County Commissioners has officially appointed Ryan Guynn as the new Fire Chief of Pasco County Fire Rescue (PCFR).
“Chief Guynn’s step up from Assistant Chief highlights our commitment to cultivating talent from within,” says County Administrator Mike Carballa. “His dedication to the community, combined with his leadership experience, make him an outstanding fit to guide Pasco County Fire Rescue forward. His vision for a strong foundation and team unity aligns with our mission to prioritize people, purpose and performance.”

Chief Guynn, a seasoned public safety professional with over 25 years of experience, previously served as Assistant Chief and Interim Fire Chief of PCFR. His extensive knowledge and dedication to the community make him a strong leader for the department.
Guynn began his career with PCFR in 2003 and has steadily advanced through the ranks. His appointment as Fire Chief marks a significant milestone in his career.
“Over the past two years, I’ve personally watched Chief Guynn grow professionally in his role as the Assistant Fire Chief,” says Assistant County Administrator J.J. Murphy. “I have zero doubts that Chief Guynn is ready to take the helm of the agency and move Pasco County Fire Rescue into its next chapter.”
