Female Body Discovered In New Port Richey Confirmed To Be Kathleen Moore

PASCO COUNTY, FL. – Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco delivered the sad news that the body discovered Tuesday morning in New Port Richey is that of Kathleen Moore.

Nocco said that at approximately 11:30 a.m. this morning, Pasco Sheriff’s Office received a report from an individual walking in the area of Carmel Ave., New Port Richey of a decomposing body.

The body has been determined to be that of Kathleen Moore, located in a wooded area, and covered by thick brush.

Nocco said that the location of the body was approximately 50 yards northeast of Collin Knapp’s residence in New Port Richey.

Nocco said that tattoos were used to identify Moore.

“I just ask that right now, we pray for her family,” said Nocco during a press briefing on Tuesday.

The cause of death has not been released as of yet.

Knapp made his first appearance in court on Tuesday, around 12 pm and said that he could not afford an attorney.
