According to GFOA, the Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
“It is an honor to be recognized by GFOA with these distinguished awards for our financial reporting,” said Clerk Nikki Alvarez-Sowles. “These awards are the highest form of recognition in government accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. Thank you to my team in the Finance Department for their hard work in helping our Office and the County achieve this recognition. The citizens of Pasco can take great pride in knowing the reporting of County finances are being done at the highest level of excellence.”
