Pasco County Clerk Awarded For Excellence In Best Practices

PASCO COUNTY, FL. – Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller Nikki Alvarez-Sowles claimed awards in all seven categories of the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers inaugural Excellence in Best Practices recognition program Wednesday morning.

Designed to encourage striving for excellence among the association’s membership, the awards recognize those Clerks whose offices successfully execute the best practices issued by FCCC. The ceremony was held as part of the FCCC’s Summer Conference in St. Petersburg.

Clerk Alvarez-Sowles was presented awards of excellence in each of the seven categories designated for 2021:

  • Bail Bonds Forfeitures
  • Compliance Services
  • Confidential Judicial Records
  • Guardianship Audit
  • Marriage License
  • Recording Fundamentals
  • Service of Pro Se Documents by Clerk

“While I am delighted to accept these awards here in front of my colleagues,” Clerk Alvarez-Sowles said, “it’s important to acknowledge all of these achievements represent the work, imagination, and dedication of my deputy clerks, who are committed to our mission in Pasco County.”

This year’s honors reflect the endeavors of the teams in Records, Civil Courts, and Criminal Courts, with abundant support from the Finance and Information Technology departments.
