LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. – Pasco County Animal Services (PCAS) is offering a fantastic opportunity for those looking to add a furry friend to their family. As part of NBCUniversal Local’s annual Clear the Shelters™ event, all adoption fees for available dogs and cats will be waived from August 29th to 31st.
During this three-day event, potential adopters can visit PCAS’s Adoption Center at 19640 Dogpatch Lane to meet their future companions. Adoptions include spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping, ensuring the animals are ready for their new homes. Pasco County residents will only be required to purchase a county license for each adopted pet.

“This year, we’re offering three days of waived fees to adopt pets,” said PCAS Director Mike Shumate. “This is the perfect opportunity to visit us, meet our adoptable pets and find the right companion for your family.”
The 2024 Clear the Shelters campaign is also partnering with Greater Good Charities to facilitate online donations. If you’re interested in supporting PCAS or other participating shelters and rescue groups, you can visit ClearTheSheltersFund.org.
