LITHIA, Fla. – A section of County Road 39 in Lithia is temporarily closed this week as crews conduct essential maintenance on the CSX railroad crossing. The closure, which began earlier this week, will remain in effect until Sunday, February 2, 2025, as part of a project to replace the rail, track materials, and paved approaches to the crossing.
The affected area spans County Road 39 between Alafia Estates Lane and Big Bear Road. During the closure, residents and commuters are advised to use designated detour routes via East Keysville Road and Lithia Pinecrest Road to navigate around the construction zone. Clear signage has been posted to guide motorists, and drivers are urged to exercise caution while traveling through the area.

The maintenance work is being carried out to ensure the safety and reliability of the railroad crossing, which is a critical infrastructure component for both local traffic and CSX operations.
