CLEARWATER, Fla. – A Palm Harbor woman was arrested early Monday morning after crashing into the back of a Clearwater Police cruiser that was stopped while the officer assisted a disabled vehicle.
The crash occurred at 12:27 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the Courtney Campbell Causeway.
That’s when Jaime Fox, 44, slammed into the left rear portion of the police cruiser, causing significant damage to both vehicles.

The cruiser had its emergency lights activated as the officer assisted the driver of the disabled vehicle.
The officer was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital, where he was treated and released. Fox was taken to the Pinellas County Jail, where she faces charges of DUI and DUI with property damage.
