CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. – Clearwater Police apprehended a Palm Harbor man, Don Carr, 63, following a wrong-way crash on Clearwater Beach Friday evening.
Carr was driving a 2005 Dodge Durango southbound in the northbound lanes of Mandalay Avenue when he collided with a 2024 Mazda SUV just after 9 p.m. The Mazda SUV was occupied by the driver and three young children, none of whom were injured in the crash.

Carr was taken to a local hospital for evaluation before being booked into the Pinellas County Jail. He faces charges of DUI with property damage, driving the wrong way, and careless driving.
