Overnight Tarpon Springs Shooting Leaves One Man Dead

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – A man was shot and killed overnight in Tarpon Springs, and a suspect is in custody, police say.

The Tarpon Springs Police Department received a call about a disturbance at 1125 Clarissa Ct. at approximately 2:42 a.m. Tuesday.

When officers arrived, they located the victim, a 45-year-old white male, in the residence with an apparent gunshot wound.

Another occupant of the residence told officers that he shot the victim.

Medical personnel arrived and began treatment of the victim, who was transported to Advent Health North Pinellas, where he was pronounced deceased at 3:57 am.

The suspect, a 54-year-old white male, is in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
