POLK COUNTY, FL. – An Orlando man was killed Monday, in a crash that happened around 5:24 am in Polk County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 44-year-old Orlando man driving a 2021 Toyota Tundra, was traveling southbound on US-27, approaching the intersection with RWS Ranch
Road.
Troopers say a 2018 Kenworth tractor-trailer, was traveling eastbound on RWS Ranch Road and in the process of turning left onto US-27.
Investigators say as tractor-trailer turned left, the Toyota collided with the left side of the
trailer, with both vehicles coming to a stop, blocking the southbound lanes.
The Orlando man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
