U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Miami, in partnership with Florida state law enforcement agencies, announced Saturday the arrest of nearly 800 individuals during the first four days of “Operation Tidal Wave.”
This multi-agency initiative, described as a large-scale immigration enforcement crackdown, marks a first-of-its-kind partnership between state and federal authorities in the region.

According to obtained by the Miami Herald, the enforcement effort specifically targets individuals residing in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, as well as the cities of Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Stuart, Tallahassee, and Fort Myers.
ICE officials stated that “Operation Tidal Wave is a testament to the commitment of both federal and state partners to public safety.”

While specific details regarding the individuals arrested and the precise locations of the enforcement actions were not immediately released, the agency highlighted the scale and collaborative nature of the operation.
A statement released by ICE Miami emphasized the “extraordinary support” provided by Florida law enforcement partners throughout the operation. The agency expressed its appreciation for the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) commitment to ensuring community safety.
