The Daily Mail called me a potential breakout candidate. I have sat down for live interviews on GMA3 and NewsMax. But if you log onto some of the largest mainstream media websites in America, you will find no reference to my campaign.
My name is Steve Laffey, and I am learning that grassroots politics may be going the way of the dinosaur.
As I sat with FOX Radio on Monday, I was attacked, told that I didn’t know the right people needed to become President. I was told that no one had heard of my campaign.
To date, my campaign has sent over 50,000 emails to journalists across America. Fifty-three of those campaigns targeted FOX News alone. I’m not waiting to break through; I am being ignored.
In the news: Republican Presidential Candidate Steve Laffey Says ‘Americans Are Missing The Whole Point’ On COVID
When Nikki Haley announced that she was running, I watched her announcement get plastered all over news outlets across the world.
When Donald Trump announced, some cable networks carried it live! NBC News and CBS News have never once mentioned my campaigns. I have gotten zero coverage from the Associated Press. I even got an email from a Washington bureau chief that asked me, “who the hell is Steve Laffey?” Is that really what candidates are up against in this election cycle?
I must wonder: are issue-based candidacies finished, too? If any interested party goes to NikkiHaley.com, they will see no laid-out issues, no plans for her campaign, and nothing concerning what she would do to help our country. Instead, they would see a video statement and a fundraising option.
Why is that? Because major press outlets allow it. Ms. Haley’s campaign joins Mr. Trump’s in that they are colorless campaigns that have become the norm. As she lays out no plans for her race, Ms. Haley has added herself to the Trumpian campaign that is all style and no substance. These campaigns are helping lead the United States to ruin.
It is time for the press to start asking tough questions about real issues. I have a plan to solve Social Security while Mr. Trump has declared that he would not touch it. Why not ask Ms. Haley her thoughts on the matter?
I put forth a question to the media: Are you concerned for the next generation; about your own children? If so, you should demand answers from both Ms. Haley and former President Trump.
You should be asking for a plan that makes lives better for the children of this nation. Not only would it be good for ratings, but you would also find out that most major politicians truly have no idea of how to fix major issues. The political emperors truly have no clothes.
