SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred in the 1800 block of John Rivers Street, Sarasota, at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Investigators say during this incident, an adult suffered a gunshot wound, and another adult sustained stab wounds. Both individuals were taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“This is an active and ongoing investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division. It is believed to be an isolated incident, and the public is not in danger,” said the Sarasota Police Department.
