BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire shortly after 6 pm Friday evening.
Initial reports indicated there were possible people inside the house in the 27000 block of Charlick Rd,
Units arrived to find smoke coming from the front door and a single civilian outside.

Crews located the fire in a bedroom and quickly extinguished the fire.
The lone occupant was treated and transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The building suffered significant smoke damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
