One Person Dead In St. Petersburg House Fire

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - One person died Sunday in a house fire in St. Petersburg, according to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – One person died Sunday in a house fire in St. Petersburg, according to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue.

According to officials, at approximately 7:45 p.m., St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to the 4700 block of 12th Avenue North for reports of a house on fire.

Units arrived to find a home with smoke from all sides.

Crews searched the home for victims and found one person deceased.

The victim was removed from the house and no other injuries were reported.

“The situation is under control, and an investigation has been started. No information currently on the identity of the victim,” said SPFR.
