TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. – It’s time to deck Treasure Island’s waterways with lighted boats and holiday cheer. The 38th Annual Treasure Island Lighted Boat Parade will set sail on Saturday, Dec. 16.

The Treasure Island Boat Parade is a dazzling nautical spectacle featuring a variety of boats and one of the largest lighted boat parades in the Tampa Bay area! For the first time this year, the parade will sail through all the “fingers” of Paradise Island, Isle of Palms and Isle of Capri.

Festivities kick off on Thursday, Dec. 14 at Treasure Bay Golf & Tennis (10315 Paradise Blvd) with the Captain’s Party & Raffle from 6-8 p.m.

There will be food & drinks, a raffle ticket for each attendee with great prizes, and last-minute Boat Parade registration. This is where those participating in the parade will pick up their parade number while being briefed on important parade instructions and updates.

A holiday celebration will be held at Treasure Bay Golf & Tennis on the day of the boat parade from 5-7 p.m. where the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade will begin. At this festive viewing spot, there will be a DJ, a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus, interactive entertainers, and food/beverage concessions.

The parade will begin promptly at 6 p.m. just south of the Treasure Island Causeway. The route travels south of Paradise Island, back through the Treasure Island Causeway, around the Isles of Palms and Capri, and finishes at John’s Pass.

The parade is expected to pass through the Treasure Island Causeway bridge around 7 p.m. in which the bridge will need to be raised and stay in the raised position for a short time. This will impact traffic for a limited time on the causeway.

Captains wishing to participate in the boat parade can do so by registering their vessel at mytreasureisland.com/events and clicking on the “Holiday Lighted Boat Parade” tab.

For additional information, a map of the parade route, and more, please call the Treasure Island Parks and Recreation Department at 727-547-4575, ext. 221.
