TAMPA, Fla. – On Sunday Tampa Police officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of Hanna Ave in reference to a person shot. While responding, officers were diverted to the area of Powhatan Ave E and 20th St. N. where two victims were located.
The first victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, and the second victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
Officers attempted lifesaving efforts on the first victim until emergency responders arrived, but the victim dies from the injuries.
Updates will be provided as information becomes available.
The case remains under investigation.
