LUTZ, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a fatal house fire on Garden Quilt Circle in Lutz on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
At approximately 4:43 PM, the emergency dispatch center began receiving multiple calls reporting a fire at a single-story residence.
The first engine on the scene reported flames visible through the roof of the house. Firefighters took a defensive approach to battling the blaze, bringing the fire under control within 15 minutes.

During a subsequent search of the residence, crews discovered one deceased individual. No first responders were injured in the incident.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
