A 34-year-old Ohio woman has pleaded guilty to felony charges of disrupting public services and making false alarms, along with 25 misdemeanor counts of misusing the 911 system.
Kesha S. Kennedy, 34, of Zanesville, admitted to making nearly 400 unnecessary calls to 911 since 2020, complaining of various illnesses and tying up emergency resources.
The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office reported that the woman’s frequent calls, sometimes multiple times a day, diverted ambulances and first responders from genuine emergencies.

According to WKBN, in one instance, the South Zanesville Fire Department was unable to respond to a person struggling to breathe because they were attending to one of the woman’s false alarms.
The woman’s actions not only strained emergency services but also tragically resulted in the death of another individual due to delayed response times.
Kennedy’s sentencing date is not yet set.
