Ohio Mom Allegedly Tried To Stab Her Son Before Shooting Him To Death

A 44-year-old Ohio mother was taken into custody on suspicion of shooting and killing her son after trying to stab him.

According to Columbus Police, on February 19 at 1:45 pm, officers were dispatched to a shooting at the 2800 Block of Drew Heights Pl.

They located the victim, Jahaad Hughes, lying on the ground unresponsive.

Police rendered aid until Medics arrived and transported him to a local area Hospital.

Despite receiving lifesaving medical treatment, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 3:03 pm.

The suspect, Laquandra Williams, was immediately taken into custody.

According to 10WBNS, witnesses told detectives that Williams tried to stab Hughes with a knife.

According to court documents, Hughes was successful in removing the knife from Williams.

“I’m going to show you something,” Williams allegedly said before heading outside to their car, where witnesses claim she kept her gun. Williams was locked out of the house by the witnesses.

According to court documents, Hughes made the decision to pack his bags and leave the house a few minutes later. Williams exited her car as he was leaving and shot him at close range.

Hughes died after being admitted to Mount Carmel East Hospital, accordign to the outlet.
