During the pursuit, Alexander made threats to harm himself and his daughter. At one point, the child was seen sitting on his lap, and he reportedly pointed a gun at her.

The standoff came to a tragic end when officers were forced to neutralize the threat, resulting in Alexander’s death. The child was safely recovered and returned to her family.

Authorities believe Alexander had a history of mental health issues, which may have contributed to the incident.
