A Seminole Firefighter has been arrested for DUI, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Off-Duty Seminole Firefighter Arrested for Driving Under the Influence

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A Seminole Firefighter has been arrested for DUI, according to Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

According to deputies, on Monday, around 12:56 a.m., deputies assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau arrested James Craig, 37, employed with the Seminole Fire Department, for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

Deputies observed Craig operating his Ford pick-up truck northbound on Park Street just south of 62nd Avenue North at 100mph in a posted 45mph zone.

Deputies made contact with Craig, who exhibited multiple indicators of impairment, including a distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage, unsteady balance, and watery eyes.

Craig refused to perform Field Sobriety Tests and to provide a sample of his breath.

Craig was arrested and charged with one count of DUI and transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.
