PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – An off-duty Pinellas Park firefighter has been arrested for drunk driving after deputies pulled him over for speeding Saturday.
On Saturday at approximately 10:04 p.m., deputies assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau arrested 31-year-old Sean Murphy, employed with the Pinellas Park Fire Department, for one count of Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
Deputies observed Murphy operating his Ford car westbound on Gandy Boulevard west of the Gandy Bridge at 77mph in a posted 55mph zone.

Deputies made contact with Murphy, who exhibited multiple indicators of impairment, including the distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage, swaying, and bloodshot watery eyes.
Murphy agreed to perform Field Sobriety Tests but performed poorly on them.
According to deputies, Murphy submitted to a breath sample, which indicated he had a BrAC of .128/.140.
Murphy was arrested and charged with one count of Driving Under the Influence and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
