PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A firefighter employed by the Gulfport Fire Department was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) early Thursday morning, April 10, 2025.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), deputies observed 24-year-old Scott Miller driving his personal Ford F-150 pickup truck recklessly in a residential area near Pasadena Avenue and Park Street at approximately 12:58 a.m.
Deputies reported that Miller reached speeds exceeding 100 MPH.

After making contact with Miller, deputies noted that he exhibited several signs of impairment, including the distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot, glassy eyes.
Deputies stated that Miller refused to perform Field Sobriety Tests and declined to provide a breath sample. He was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of Driving Under the Influence and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
