MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 55-year-old Ocala woman was arrested on Friday morning following a disturbance at a gas station on Maloney Avenue.
Amanda Kay Stengl faces charges of criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest after an incident at the Tom Thumb gas station around 8:20 a.m.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Stengl was allegedly yelling at customers, breaking glass, and knocking over items inside the store. When deputies arrived, Stengl resisted arrest and kicked deputies during the altercation.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported during the incident. Stengl was taken into custody and transported to jail.
Authorities have not released further details regarding the motive behind Stengl’s behavior.
