Ocala Man Pleads Guilty To Multiple Charges Of Meth And Fentanyl Distribution

Terrance Maurice Washington, a 41-year-old resident of Ocala, has pleaded guilty to six counts of possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl with the intent to distribute.

The guilty plea was announced today by United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg.

According to court documents, Washington engaged in multiple transactions between October 2023 and January 2024, distributing varying quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl to a confidential source working with law enforcement.

The amounts involved ranged from gram quantities to over a pound of methamphetamine.

Washington now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and up to life in federal prison for the five counts involving methamphetamine.

The remaining fentanyl offense carries a minimum mandatory penalty of five years and a maximum of 40 years in federal prison. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 18, 2024.
