MARION COUNTY, Fla. – An Ocala man already in custody on child pornography charges is now facing a capital sexual battery charge after a Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) investigation revealed disturbing evidence of abuse.
Brandon Michael Angevine, 31, was initially arrested on December 12th, 2024, on charges of possession of child pornography and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.

This arrest stemmed from tips received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in August and November 2024, indicating that Angevine had uploaded child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the Kik platform.
Detective Nicholas Sutliff led the investigation, which involved a series of subpoenas that linked Angevine to the uploaded files. A search warrant executed on Angevine’s cell phone revealed further evidence, leading to additional charges.
However, the investigation took a grim turn when another NCMEC tip revealed a video of Angevine sexually battering a young child.

Upon questioning, Angevine confessed to producing the video and admitted to sexually assaulting the child. He is now facing a capital sexual battery charge, a crime punishable by life in prison or the death penalty.
Angevine remains in custody at the Marion County Jail without bond.
