The Florida Lottery announced on Monday that Mason Maxwell, 47, of Turtle Lake, North Dakota, won an un-BEE-lievable $1 million playing the DIAMOND MINE 20X Scratch-Off game.
Maxwell claimed his prize at the Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He received his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $695,000.00.
Maxwell purchased his winning ticket from SunStop, located at 3519 North U.S. Highway 441 in Lake City, where he lives during the summers and is a beekeeper, according to the Florida Lottery.

The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling a winning Scratch-Off ticket.
