A 47-year-old North Carolina woman was arrested on Monday evening in Big Pine Key, Florida, for driving under the influence and battery on a law enforcement officer.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic incident involving a vehicle crash at Coconuts Bar & Liquor Store on Big Pine Key around 7:37 p.m.
The driver, Kimberly Marie Robins, appeared intoxicated and reportedly spit on and kicked deputies during her arrest.

Robins was charged with DUI causing property damage, resisting arrest with violence, and battery on a law enforcement officer. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.
The male involved in the domestic incident, 41-year-old Charles Fronefield Lambert, also from Elizabeth City, was charged with battery for hitting Robins.
