North Carolina Man Who Targeted Walmart And Lowe’s With Bomb Threats Arrested In Florida

A man wanted in North Carolina for a series of bomb threats and possession of obscene materials was apprehended in Florida on Friday.

Levy County Sheriff’s Detectives, working in conjunction with the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, arrested Charles A. Parris, 53, late Friday afternoon in Williston.

Parris was a fugitive from North Carolina, where he was wanted for a string of bomb threats targeting Lowe’s and Walmart stores. Additionally, he faced warrants for possession of obscene materials stemming from a separate investigation in North Carolina.

Parris was taken into custody and transported to the Levy County Detention Center. He is being held without bond pending his extradition to North Carolina.
