North Carolina Man Dies Following Diving Incident In Florida

A 65-year-old North Carolina man died Monday following a dive incident on the Duane Wreck off Key Largo.

A 65-year-old North Carolina man died Monday following a dive incident on the Duane Wreck off Key Largo in Florida.

According to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, other divers assisted Perry Lane Anderson of Mooresville, North Carolina, back to a Rainbow Reef Dive Center commercial dive boat at approximately 9:40 a.m., where CPR began immediately.

Anderson was taken to Mariners Hospital in Tavernier where he was pronounced dead.

Foul play does not appear to be a factor in the investigation. Autopsy results are pending, police say.
