Investigators in North Carolina are actively investigating a double homicide that occurred in Woodleaf on Saturday morning.
On September 14th, 2024, at 8:42 am, a 911 call reported a homicide at 1212 Old Oak Lane.
Amanda Burr informed dispatchers that her friend, Jonathan Davon Freeman, had sent her a photo of her deceased husband, Bryan Burr.

It was also reported that Jonathan’s wife, Teri Freeman, was also deceased in the home. Deputies arrived to find Jonathan still on the scene and confirmed both victims were dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
A search warrant was obtained for the property, which is Amanda and Bryan Burr’s residence.
The evidence collected, coupled with Jonathan’s incriminating statements to others confessing to the killings, resulted in two murder charges against him.

Jonathan, a resident of Lexington, is being held without bond in the Rowan County Detention Center and will have his first court appearance on Tuesday, September 17th.
