PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Additional law enforcement presence will be seen at Rushe Middle School Tuesday in what Pasco Sheriff’s Office says is “out of an abundance of caution”, after a social media threat was discovered.
“Pasco Sheriff’s Office is aware of a social media threat regarding Rushe Middle School on Tuesday, Sept. 6,” said PSO.
According to deputies, PSO is conducting a thorough investigation.
“At this time, all parties have been identified and interviews are ongoing. Evidence indicates the original post was altered without the knowledge of the original poster to make it appear it was a threat,” said PSO.
There is no substantiated threat at this time.
