ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Motorists traveling southbound on I-275 in St. Petersburg should be aware of nightly closures planned for the Exit 17 ramp to 54th Avenue South and the Pinellas Bayway (SR 682). The closures will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., starting Monday, July 22 through Wednesday, July 24, weather permitting.
During these closures, southbound I-275 drivers can access 54th Avenue South and the Pinellas Bayway by exiting at Exit 19, turning west onto 22nd Avenue South, then south onto US 19 (34th Street South), and continuing south.

The closures are necessary for the ongoing I-275 concrete pavement repair project, which spans from 54th Avenue South to 5th Avenue South in Pinellas County and is expected to be completed in early 2026. Drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone and be mindful of construction workers.
