Nightly Closures On East Curlew Place In Tarpon Springs Begin Tuesday

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – Motorists in Tarpon Springs should be aware of nightly closures on East Curlew Place from Alt 19 (Pinellas Avenue) beginning Tuesday, March 25th, and continuing through Wednesday, March 26th.

The closures will occur nightly from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., weather permitting.

During these temporary road closures, drivers will be detoured around the work zone using Lillian Avenue and Klosterman Road. Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be in place to guide motorists through the area.

Access to businesses and residences located along East Curlew Place will be maintained throughout the closures.

These closures are part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Alt US 19 repaving project, which spans from Tampa Road to Meres Boulevard in Pinellas County. The project is expected to be completed in early 2026.
