TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – Motorists in Tarpon Springs should be aware of upcoming nightly road closures affecting access at East Curlew Place.
On Wednesday, April 2nd, and Thursday, April 3rd, access at East Curlew Place from Alternate 19 (Pinellas Avenue) will be closed nightly from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., weather permitting.
During these temporary closures, drivers will need to detour around the work zone by using Lillian Avenue and Klosterman Road. Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be in place to guide motorists.

Importantly, access to businesses and residences in the area will be maintained throughout the closures.
These road closures are necessary as part of the Alternate US 19 repaving project, which spans from Tampa Road to Meres Boulevard in Pinellas County. The project is anticipated to be completed in early 2026.
