National Hurricane Center (NHC) forecasters are monitoring a broad area of low pressure developing over the western Caribbean Sea. While environmental conditions appear favorable for gradual development, there’s a low chance of formation in the next two days.
However, the potential for a tropical depression or storm increases over the next week as the system moves slowly westward.
