A New York man was sentenced to 10 years in prison to be followed by 15 years of supervised release by a U.S. District Court Judge for attempted enticement of a minor.

According to court documents, between October 21, 2021, and February 9, 2022, Stephen Farleigh, age 51, of Walton, New York, used the internet to attempt to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity and traveled to Pennsylvania with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a 13-year-old child.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the case.  Assistant U.S. Attorney Christian T. Haugsby prosecuted the case.
