HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County is expanding its efforts to help residents with storm debris removal following Hurricanes Milton and Helene. A new temporary debris drop-off site is now open at the Southeast County Landfill, located at 15960 County Road 672 in Lithia.

The site is open to the public seven days a week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Residents can dispose of yard waste, construction debris, and demolition debris free of charge.

To utilize the drop-off site, residents must present a photo ID with their residential address and a copy of their current property tax bill (printed or digital).

Debris Collection Map Available

To further assist residents, Hillsborough County has created an online debris collection map. This interactive tool helps residents in unincorporated Hillsborough County locate designated debris removal routes and nearby drop-off sites. The map also provides updates on the status of debris collection efforts in specific areas.

Countywide Debris Collection Update

Hillsborough County is actively working to collect debris throughout unincorporated areas. The first pass of collection efforts is expected to be completed by November 17th, 2024.
