Much like they do with the coronavirus and Bidenflation, Americans are increasingly aware that liberal media bias is real, and not going anywhere.
On Thursday, the groups Trafalgar Group and Convention of States released the results of a survey conducted this month that found 76 percent of respondents think the national mainstream media exists to advance “their own opinions or political agendas.”
That compares to only 24 percent who said the media are all about “finding and reporting the facts.”
Not surprisingly, 90 percent of Republicans agreed that the media works to support a narrative, which is hostile to their causes.
Interestingly, though, those who complained loudest during the four years former President Donald Trump complained about “fake news” and an anti-conservative media see what’s become plain to all.
Among self-described independents, 76 percent believe the media pursues a certain political agenda or its own opinions.
Even 63 percent of Democrats admit this is the case. And Democrats made up the biggest group in the poll, with 39 percent of respondents, compared to 36 percent of Republicans.
That may help explain the outcome of a Reuters survey in June.
Only 29 percent of Americans reported that they trusted the mainstream media – which ranked dead last among the 46 nations Reuters included in its study.
