PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Early Thursday morning, around 6:15 a.m., Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies, in conjunction with US Marshals, attempted to serve a warrant at a residence on Cayuga Drive in New Port Richey. The subject of the warrant barricaded himself inside the home.

After entry was made into the residence, the man was found deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The incident appears to be isolated, and authorities have stated there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
