New Port Richey Pedestrian Struck And Killed By Vehicle

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – A fatal collision occurred Wednesday night at the intersection of Gulf Blvd. and US Highway 19 in New Port Richey.

The New Port Richey Police Department responded to the incident at 10:03 PM, where a pedestrian was struck by a southbound vehicle while crossing eastbound within the crosswalk.

The pedestrian was transported to Bayonet Hospital but tragically succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the victim is yet to be determined, and next of kin have not been notified.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated fully with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have found no signs of impairment at this time.

The New Port Richey Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
