Jurors in New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez’s bribery trial reached a verdict on Tuesday, their third day of deliberations.
The jury of six women and six men began deliberations Friday afternoon and found the senator guilty on Tuesday on all counts.
The New Jersey Democrat was found guilty of accepting bribes of cash, gold, and a luxury car from three businessmen and acting as a foreign agent for Egypt.

Over a 9-week trial, prosecutors said Menendez abused the power of his office to protect allies from criminal investigations and enrich associates, including his wife, through acts that included meeting with Egyptian intelligence officials and helping that country access millions of dollars in U.S. military aid.
Menendez, 70, did not testify. He publicly insisted he was only doing his job as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
He said gold bars found in his New Jersey home by the FBI belonged to his wife.
Menendez’s wife, Nadine, was charged in the case, but her trial has been postponed while she recovers from breast cancer surgery.
