Janxiel Guzman, a child living with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a severe form of epilepsy, recently received a life-changing experience thanks to the Sunshine Foundation. Janxiel’s dream trip to Florida, granted by the organization, allowed him and his family to create cherished memories without the burden of constant medical concerns.
“This was our family’s first-ever trip,” shared Janxiel’s mom, overwhelmed with gratitude. “Being able to enjoy the Dream Village swimming pool with ease, as a mother, made me tear up because the struggle of taking Janxiel in and out of his wheelchair is a mission in itself. I wheeled him in the pool, and when the water hit his feet the expression on his face was so magical.”

Sunshine Foundation fulfills dreams for children facing chronic illnesses and disabilities, including spina bifida, cerebral palsy, autism, and epilepsy.
