U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, on his first trip to Israel, met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this morning to discuss urgent developments in the region.

In a series of pointed remarks, Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Hamas, stating that if all hostages are not released, “The Gates of Hell will surely open.” He also signaled that Israel is prepared to “finish the job” against Iran, a message that underscored the administration’s determination to counter regional threats.

Rubio’s visit comes amid a fragile ceasefire deal in Gaza, following the recent release of three additional hostages by Hamas – including one American-Israeli citizen.

The move has prompted widespread calls for the expedited return of all hostages, with leaders on both sides emphasizing the need to preserve lives while maintaining pressure on Hamas.

In related developments, Israel announced that its security cabinet will convene tomorrow to discuss the next steps in the ceasefire agreement. The meeting is expected to address the challenges of maintaining stability in Gaza and assess additional measures needed to secure the safe return of hostages.

Netanyahu also highlighted broader regional concerns during his briefing. With Iran now more vulnerable after its proxies have been weakened and its defenses compromised, Israel must be prepared for decisive action.

His comments come as reports indicate a delivery of two-thousand-pound unguided bombs, previously stalled by the Biden Administration, has raised new concerns over potential civilian casualties in Gaza.
