PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – The Pasco Board of County Commissioners is pleased to report the Moon Lake community is a whole lot cleaner thanks to a huge, weekend cleanup event March 11 and 12.

Pasco’s Code Compliance and Solid Waste teams joined forces to help clear trash and debris from residential homes and yards in Moon Lake.

Crews removed nearly 112 tons of trash and debris. Pasco County regularly hosts community cleanups to give customers an opportunity to get rid of trash, debris, and hazardous materials that might otherwise lead to code violations or illegal dumping.

“It’s great to see the community come together, helping neighbors dispose of everything from old couches to tires – even an old washing machine,” said Commissioner Gary Bradford.  “For the second year in a row, we’ve removed more than 100 tons of trash and debris from the Moon Lake area.  Thank you to the community volunteers and Pasco County team members who worked so hard to make this event a success!”
