Juan Sebastian Perez, 24, of Naples, has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and possession of images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.

U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber handed down the sentence, which also includes a life term of supervised release and a requirement for Perez to register as a sex offender. Perez had previously pleaded guilty to the charges on December 18, 2024.

Court documents revealed that between November 2023 and June 26, 2024, Perez engaged in extensive child exploitation activities. He used a social media application to seek out and communicate with at least one minor.

In June 2024, the FBI received a report indicating that Perez had persuaded a 14-year-old child to produce and send sexually explicit images and videos. Under Perez’s direction, the minor complied with these requests.

During the execution of a search warrant at Perez’s residence, he admitted to using multiple social media applications and acknowledged encountering CSAM online. He also confessed to soliciting nude images from individuals he had communicated with. A subsequent forensic examination of his electronic devices confirmed the presence of CSAM.
