In the middle of an intense police standoff over the weekend a 28-year-old Boston woman was arrested after driving a golf cart into the crime scene, naked.
On Sunday, September 5, 2021, at approximately 8:07 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Fairway Drive and Harrison Drive in Dunedin after being dispatched to a report of three suspicious male subjects in the neighborhood.
When deputies arrived on the scene to make contact with the male subjects, one of the subjects, later identified as 18-year-old Myles Abbott, fled from the deputies.
At some point, while he was fleeing, Abbott fired his gun and struck himself in the right thigh.
Deputies from the Flight Unit located Abbott on the roof and advised he was armed with a gun and was pointing it toward deputies that were located on the ground.
And then came the naked lady.
Deputies said Jessica Elisabeth Smith, 28, of Boston, Massachusetts, who had absolutely nothing to do with the intense standoff, drove naked on a golf cart into the crime scene and toward the house where the gunman was held up, ignoring deputies commands to leave the scene.
According to the affidavit, Smith “had a distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person, and she was completely nude.”
Deputies were able to reach smith and arrest her, charging her with resisting an officer without violence.
