POLK COUNTY, Fla. – It seems someone in Mulberry got a little too annoyed with the sounds of a crying baby. 46-year-old Ebony Brooks was arrested on Monday, October 21st, after admitting to keying her neighbor’s car because the neighbor’s baby was “constantly crying and being loud.”
Apparently, Ms. Brooks prefers lullabies to the sounds of a fussy infant.
The victim discovered the damage and, after checking security footage, saw Brooks intentionally scratching her car. When confronted by a Polk County Sheriff’s deputy, Brooks confessed to the crime.

While we all experience moments of frustration, it’s safe to say that taking it out on someone’s car is not the most constructive approach.
Ms. Brooks now faces a charge of criminal mischief and a potentially hefty repair bill for her neighbor. Perhaps some noise-canceling headphones would have been a better investment.
